24/7 Support Access
Our player safety team at support@takebat is available around the clock to help with any responsible gaming concern. We never pressure players to continue playing — your wellbeing comes first.

1. Age Restriction & Underage Protection

takebat operates exclusively for adults aged 18 and above. Gambling is not suitable for minors, and we enforce strict age verification procedures to prevent underage access to the platform. This policy applies to all players across Bangladesh, regardless of location — whether you are in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Barisal, Rangpur, Mymensingh, or Cox's Bazar.

During account registration, every new player is required to confirm that they are at least 18 years of age. In addition, before any withdrawal is processed, we require players to complete identity verification (KYC) by submitting a valid government-issued identification document — such as a Bangladesh National Identity Card (NID) or passport — confirming their date of birth. Accounts where age verification cannot be completed, or where the player is found to be under 18, are suspended immediately and no funds are returned.

Underage Gambling Is Strictly Prohibited

If you are under 18, you must not attempt to register or use the takebat platform. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has accessed this platform using your details, please contact support@takebat immediately so we can take appropriate action.

Parental controls: We strongly encourage parents and guardians to use third-party parental control software to restrict access to online gambling sites for minors using shared devices. Tools such as Net Nanny, Kaspersky Safe Kids, and built-in operating system parental controls can be effective at blocking gambling websites on home networks.

takebat also reserves the right to request additional age or identity verification at any point during a player's lifetime on the platform, particularly before processing large withdrawals or following any change in account details.

2. Recognising Problem Gambling

For most players, gambling on takebat is a form of entertainment — a way to enjoy cricket betting during the BPL season, spin some slots, or try a hand of Rummy. However, for a small number of people, gambling can develop into a pattern that causes financial, emotional, or social harm. Recognising the early signs of problem gambling is the first and most important step toward addressing it.

Problem gambling is not simply about losing large amounts of money. It can affect anyone, regardless of income level, profession, or background. The following warning signs are commonly associated with gambling that has become problematic:

Spending more money on gambling than you can afford to lose
Borrowing money from family, friends, or financial institutions to fund gambling
Chasing losses — increasing bet sizes after a losing session to try to win money back
Lying to family members or friends about how much time or money you spend gambling
Neglecting work, studies, family, or other responsibilities because of gambling
Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when not gambling or when trying to stop
Using gambling as a way to escape stress, anxiety, depression, or personal problems
Repeated unsuccessful attempts to reduce or stop gambling activity
Feeling guilt or shame after a gambling session, but continuing to gamble anyway
Prioritising gambling over eating, sleeping, or maintaining personal health

If you recognise any of these signs in yourself or someone close to you, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team or explore the responsible gaming tools described in the sections below. Taking action early makes a significant difference.

3. Responsible Gaming Tools

takebat provides a suite of responsible gaming tools that put you in direct control of your gambling activity. These tools are available to every registered player and can be activated at any time by contacting support@takebat. Protective limits take effect immediately, while increases to limits (where allowed) are subject to a mandatory cooling-off period before they become active.

Deposit Limits
Set a maximum deposit amount per day, week, or calendar month. Once active, the limit prevents you from depositing beyond the threshold you have chosen, regardless of payment method — whether bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, or card.
Session Time Limits
Define a maximum duration for each gaming session. When the limit is reached, you will be reminded to take a break. Hard session limits result in automatic logout, ensuring the limit is enforced even if you feel tempted to continue.
Reality Check Reminders
Enable periodic on-screen notifications at intervals of your choice — every 30, 60, or 90 minutes. Each reminder displays your current session duration and net win/loss, giving you a clear picture of your play before you decide to continue.
Cooling-Off / Time-Out
Take a short break from the platform without permanently closing your account. Cooling-off periods can be set for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days. During this period, you cannot log in, deposit, or place bets on takebat.
Self-Exclusion
For a longer-term break, self-exclusion suspends your account for a minimum of 6 months, with options for 1 year or permanent closure. During self-exclusion, marketing communications are also stopped and your account cannot be reopened until the exclusion period ends.
Loss Limits
Set a cap on how much you are willing to lose within a defined period. Once your net loss for the day, week, or month reaches your chosen limit, your betting activity is suspended until the period resets or you contact support to review your limit.

To activate any of the tools above, contact support@takebat from your registered email address. All protective tools (limits, time-outs, self-exclusion) are applied immediately upon request. Requests to increase or remove a limit are subject to a minimum 24-hour to 7-day reflection period before taking effect.

4. Self-Exclusion Programme

Self-exclusion is the strongest account protection tool available on takebat. It is designed for players who have recognised that their gambling behaviour has become harmful, or who simply want to step away from the platform for an extended period without the temptation of logging back in.

When you request a self-exclusion, the following actions are taken immediately:

  • Your account is suspended and you cannot log in for the duration of the exclusion period.
  • All pending deposit attempts are blocked and refunded to your original payment method.
  • All marketing emails and promotional notifications are stopped and will not resume during the exclusion period.
  • Any pending withdrawal requests that were already approved before the exclusion was requested will be processed normally.
  • Your account data is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy but is not accessible for gaming purposes.

Exclusion period options: You may choose a minimum exclusion of 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, or permanent (indefinite) self-exclusion. We recommend choosing the longest period that feels appropriate for your situation — it is always easier to extend an exclusion than to end one early.

Ending a self-exclusion: Requests to end a self-exclusion before the agreed period has expired are subject to a mandatory 7-day reflection period. We will not process early reinstatement requests immediately — this cooling-off period is built in to protect you from impulsive decisions made in a vulnerable moment. After the reflection period, a support agent will conduct a welfare check before reinstating the account.

If you are in a gambling crisis right now and need your account suspended urgently, please email support@takebat with the subject line "URGENT SELF-EXCLUSION REQUEST". Our team will suspend your account within 1 hour of receiving your message, around the clock.

5. Deposit Limits & Spend Controls

Setting a deposit limit is one of the most practical ways to keep your gambling within a budget that you are genuinely comfortable with. takebat allows you to define a hard cap on how much money you can deposit into your account within a given time period. This limit applies across all payment methods — bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, SureCash, and card payments — so that switching payment channels does not create a workaround.

Deposit limits can be set at three levels:

  • Daily limit: A maximum total deposit within any 24-hour rolling period. For example, setting a daily limit of ৳500 means that once you have deposited ৳500 in a day, no further deposits are accepted until the next day begins.
  • Weekly limit: A maximum total deposit within any 7-day rolling period. Useful if your spending patterns vary significantly day to day but you want to control the overall weekly budget.
  • Monthly limit: A maximum total deposit within any 30-day rolling period. This is the most common limit type requested by players who want to treat gambling as a fixed monthly entertainment budget — similar to a cinema or streaming subscription.

How limits work in practice: Once you request a limit, it is applied to your account immediately. If you request a reduction to your limit — for example, lowering your monthly deposit cap from ৳5,000 to ৳2,000 — the new lower limit is effective immediately. If you request an increase, there is a mandatory 7-day waiting period before the higher limit takes effect, giving you time to reconsider.

Our recommendation: before setting a deposit limit, take a moment to calculate what you can genuinely afford to spend on entertainment each month, after all essential expenses. Set your limit to that amount or lower. Responsible gambling begins with honest budgeting.

6. Time-Out & Cooling-Off Periods

A time-out — also called a cooling-off period — is a temporary suspension of your takebat account for a fixed duration that you choose. Unlike self-exclusion, a time-out is intended for players who want a short break without permanently closing their account. It is a valuable tool for players who feel they are playing too frequently or spending too much time on the platform, even if their overall spending remains within budget.

Time-out periods available on takebat include:

  • 24-hour time-out: Ideal if you have had a frustrating session and want to prevent impulsive decisions the same day.
  • 7-day time-out: A one-week break recommended after a large losing session or when you feel you are playing out of habit rather than enjoyment.
  • 30-day time-out: A monthly break that allows you to reassess your gambling habits and re-engage only if you feel it is healthy to do so.
  • 90-day time-out: A longer cooling-off period for players who want a more substantial break but are not ready to commit to a full self-exclusion.

During a time-out, your account is suspended, deposits are blocked, and you cannot place bets on cricket matches, slots, or any other games on the platform. Marketing communications are paused for the duration of the time-out. Your account data and balance are preserved and will be available when the time-out period ends.

To request a time-out, email support@takebat from your registered email address and specify the duration you would like. Time-outs are applied within 1 hour of your request being received.

Time-outs cannot be ended early. This is intentional — the value of a time-out comes from its enforced nature. If you feel you need a longer break after your time-out ends, you can immediately request another time-out or escalate to a full self-exclusion.

7. Self-Assessment Questionnaire

The following questions are drawn from established problem gambling screening tools used internationally. Answer them honestly — your responses are private and are not submitted to takebat. The purpose of this questionnaire is to help you reflect on your own gambling behaviour. If you answer "Yes" to three or more of these questions, we strongly encourage you to contact our support team or a professional support organisation.

Q1 Have you ever spent more money gambling than you originally intended to?
Q2 Have you ever gambled to escape feelings of worry, stress, boredom, or unhappiness?
Q3 After losing money gambling, have you felt a strong urge to return as soon as possible to win it back?
Q4 Have you ever borrowed money or sold personal belongings to fund gambling?
Q5 Have you ever hidden your gambling activity or lied to someone close to you about how much you gamble?
Q6 Has gambling ever caused you to neglect work, studies, or family commitments?
Q7 Have you made repeated unsuccessful attempts to cut down or stop gambling?
Q8 Do you feel irritable, anxious, or uncomfortable when you are not gambling or when you try to stop?

Three or more "Yes" answers is a strong indicator that gambling may be causing harm. Please reach out — either to our support team at support@takebat or to one of the organisations listed in the next section. You do not have to manage this alone.

8. Getting Help & Support

If you feel that gambling has become a problem for you or someone you care about, reaching out for help is the most important step you can take. takebat's player safety team is always available, but we also encourage players to access professional support organisations that specialise in gambling-related harm.

Contact takebat directly: Our support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to help with any responsible gaming request — including activating limits, requesting a time-out, initiating self-exclusion, or simply talking through concerns. Email us at support@takebat. We respond in English and aim to reply within 1 hour for urgent welfare matters.

Need Immediate Help?

If gambling is causing you serious harm — financial, emotional, or otherwise — please stop playing immediately and contact our team. Email support@takebat with the subject line "RESPONSIBLE GAMING HELP" and a member of our player safety team will prioritise your case.

For mental health support in Bangladesh, the National Mental Health Helpline is available to help people experiencing distress. Please seek professional assistance from a qualified healthcare provider if you are experiencing severe psychological impact from gambling.

Remember: gambling losses are never a reason to harm yourself or others. Financial difficulties caused by gambling can be resolved — it takes time, but recovery is possible with the right support.

Talking to someone you trust: Sometimes the most helpful first step is telling a family member or close friend what you are going through. People dealing with problem gambling in Bangladesh often feel isolated — particularly if they have been hiding their gambling activity from those around them. Breaking that isolation by speaking openly can be an enormous relief and the beginning of meaningful change.

Professional counselling: Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other structured approaches have strong evidence bases for addressing problem gambling. If you are based in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, or another major Bangladeshi city, qualified counsellors and psychologists offering support for behavioural addictions are available. Speak to your local healthcare provider for a referral.

Financial support: If gambling has created serious financial difficulties, organisations providing debt counselling and financial literacy support in Bangladesh can help you create a plan to manage and recover from gambling-related debt. takebat recommends prioritising your financial health and seeking professional guidance if needed.
